Pretty Service

A Barry & Steve story...

Steve had a long day at work that involved doing work and things of that nature. So after his kickball game he grabbed his friend Barry, who was pretty tall and wore pastel colored shirts, and they headed towards the bus stop. The bus was 5 minutes late which was annoying, but for only a buck it took them to the local university, Buffalo Wing University that is. Upon arriving they sat down at the bar and drank a few [anheuser busch] drinks and ate some wings.

At some point in time, Steve thought it would be nice to make a selection on the jukebox. The entire restaurant was pretty quiet and no music was currently playing. This would be the perfect oppurtunity to hear whatever song he wanted to hear. As he scrolled through the selections he noticed a great song that was a few years old, but a classic anyways. As soon as Steve hit the play button the song came on full volume startling everyone at the bar. There wasn't even enough time for Steve to run away as the serene voice of Hanson came spewing out of the bar speakers. Groans were heard throughout the restaurant and people screamed "Why?" and "you idiot". But ummbop played on.

Trying to play it off as if he hadn't selected it, Steve hit the side of the machine a few times with his hand pretending to be outraged at the selection. It was no use, everyone knew. So he turned towards the hollering crowd and walked back to his seat, trying to avoid eye contact at all costs. However, Steve wasn't the only "clever" one at the bar. Mambo Number 5, Who Let the Dogs Out, and Macarena played later in the night.

Asthe waitress Flo came by. Steve and Barry noticed that from afar her personality was quite amazing. She got closer and their eyes were not lying, she was soooooo personable. Steve wanted to prank her in his basement for hours. The first word out of Flo's mouth was "my boyfriend..." which was a crushing blow, or was it. Barry didn't think so. He began hitting on the girl and constantly tapping her on the shoulder and saying things like "hey sweetie" and "we were just talking about you". This kept up the remainder of the time.

After all the fun died down it was time to head home. Barry gave a bartender a high five for some reason, and the nice young waitress brought them the check. The total was about 10 bucks for a pair of [anheuser busch] pitchers. Barry said he would cover it and held the check in his hand with a death grip so he could personally hand it to Flo. He waved it quickly in Steve's face and he noticed a few things about it. First of all, the tip he left was not the customary 15%, which would have been about 2 bucks. Instead it was a tip of $25. And there was also what appeared to be a message at the top of the check saying "Thanks for the pretty service" with the word pretty underlined. Steve found this tip to be way too much and yelled at Barry to change it. Long story short, Barry never changed it and Steve is sure that he currently regrets it. Now next time they go back there, Barry has to show his face again and will prolly be embarrassed.
